It can destroy families and lives and even lead to suicide. It can also lead to taking the lives of others.
Compulsive gamblers don't even realize they are addicted. Their behavior is irrational.
What is the pattern of gambling addiction :
According to the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-11) the pattern of gambling
behavior characterized by impaired control over activities, and continuation or escalation of
gambling despite the occurrence of negative consequences.
This results in significant impairment in important areas of functioning and has been evident for at least 12 months.
Do we have to wait until we hit rock bottom to get help?
